A latest study from University of California, Berkley, has indicated that those who practice regular meditation are more emotionally in sync with their bodies than most people, including modern dancers.

The UCB researchers tracked the relationship between emotions and bodily changes like breathing and heart rates amongst those who are professional dancers and those who regularly practice meditation.
As the new movie..Black swan denoted, dancers spend much time and energy in developing awareness and minute control of muscles . In contrast those who practice Vipassana or mindful meditation, which involves focus on ones breathing, heartbeat, thoughts and feelings with no judgment, displayed the closest mind-body synergy.
The detailed study was conducted on 21 professional dancers, 21 seasoned meditation practitioners as well as a 'control group' of 21 people who were neither dancers nor had any experience in meditation.
